LGBTQI+ AND GENDER DIVERSITY
The AFL is committed to embracing diversity and ensuring the sport is welcoming and safe for everyone who wants to participate, including people within the LGBTQI+ community. The AFL has a Community Football Gender Diversity Policy and associated material to provide guidance on the inclusion of gender diverse people in AFL. This can be found via the policy link below.
There are also many great resources and organisations that can support participants, coaches, officials, volunteers and clubs with education and ideas on how to support LGBTQI+ inclusion with AFL. This information can be found via the links below.
PARTNERS
The AFL has a national partnership with Pride in Sport – a national not-for-profit sporting inclusion program specifically designed to assist with the inclusion of employees, athletes, coaches, volunteers and spectators with diverse sexualities and genders.
